Our story

Cookies shouldn’t be saved for special occasions.

Somewhere along the way a cookie became a celebration thing — a birthday, a holiday, something you order a week ahead. We think that’s a waste of a perfectly good Tuesday.

Four hands, each holding out a different cookie against a warm tan background.
Four of the seven

A cookie is a small, ordinary pleasure.

It goes with the morning coffee. It survives a commute in a bag. It turns a long afternoon around, and it’s still good at the end of the day when everything is finally quiet.

None of those are occasions. They’re just days. That’s the whole idea behind Bakd Crumbs.

There's more to life than cookies, but every day deserves one.

The line everything else follows from

Which means baking them differently.

A cookie you eat on an ordinary day should be as good as one you waited for. So nothing is baked in advance and nothing sits waiting to be bought.

It also means they keep for 14 days rather than months. That’s the trade, and we think it’s the right way round.
